| Another stunning work of religious
architecture is the Asbury United Methodist Church. This
Neo-Gothic Style structure was constructed in 1925 (education
wing) and 1937 (sanctuary). Originally, the church was known as
First Methodist. The spires design is known as
"Fleche," the French word for arrow.
Architectural features include buttresses, pointed and round arches,
finials, and tower.
