| The current
York County Post Office was constructed in 1912 and is a
beautiful example of Neoclassical architecture. It is a very
imposing structure, with eight Ionic
columns, colossal portico,
balustrade, pediment with
dentil course, and more. This facility
is typical of Federal Government buildings of its era, and was
built as a memorial to Continental
Congress.
