York Post Office

York Post Office • Order A Print

The current York County Post Office was constructed in 1912 and is a beautiful example of Neoclassical architecture. It is a very imposing structure, with eight Ionic columns, colossal portico, balustrade, pediment with dentil course, and more. This facility is typical of Federal Government buildings of its era, and was built as a memorial to Continental Congress.
