Rosenmiller Building

Rosenmiller Building • Order A Print

Another resplendent J.A. Dempwolf Design, the Rosenmiller Building is of the Commercial Style, though it contains detailing akin to the Beaux Arts Classicism Style (e.g., balustrade, roofline sculptural element). This was actually fairly common for the Commercial Style; architects frequently added Beaux Arts, Neoclassical, or even Renaissance Revival ornamentation to "dress up" the Commercial Style. The Rosenmiller Building was constructed in 1909 and contains window keystones, modillions, and a classical entrance.
