The White Rose Motor Club building—today
a branch of Peoples Bank—incorporates a very unique
architectural style: Art Moderne (a.k.a., Streamline). The style
was popular in the late 1940s and, appropriate for this
structure, was inspired by the look of contemporary automobiles.
